Periodontal (gum) Treatment
What is Periodontics?
Generally speaking this is the branch of dentistry concerned with the structures surrounding and supporting the teeth, so essentially the bone and the gums.
Gum disease (also referred to as periodontal disease) tends to progress over a slow period of time meaning people may live with it for a while before realising. It is really important that you are able to spot the signs so look out for:
- Bad breath
- Bad taste
- Bleeding, inflamed, receding or red gums
- Loose or wobbly teeth
The severity of the above can range from mild to serious. Regardless though of whether you have gingivitis or periodontitis it is important to seek the necessary support to protect your soft tissue and prevent any future tooth loss.
We offer a range of treatments to combat gum disease including procedures aimed at regenerating lost jaw bone or replacing gum tissue effected by gum recession
